Lindsey & Chris – Calke Abbey wedding – Ed Brown Photography

We’re so pleased to be sharing these gorgeous images from Lindsey & Chris’ wedding, photographed by Ed Brown photography back on the first day in June.

Lindsey & Chris truly were were a dream couple from start to finish – they had smiles on their faces throughout the whole day, and Lindsey was giddy with happiness.

Lindsey prepared for their big day in the cottages on-site, before being whisked along to the Riding School in a gorgeous vintage car.

The Riding School was filled with the most stunning flowers – a contrast of moody, deep purples and dusky lilacs, teamed up with pops of bright pink and ivories.

Lightboxes aligned the gift table, and for the quirky ‘Tattoo & Sparkle’ bar which would entertain the guests in the evening.

Guests slowly began to arrive, making the most of the seating area in the Riding School and having time to mingle with other guests, and of course, the groom, who was looking handsome in navy blue.

Meanwhile, in the courtyard, the bridesmaids and bride began to arrive…

Lindsey wore her gorgeous red hair in loose vintage curls with a long veil. Her tulle gown sat off the shoulders and had corset detailing on the back. She carried a bouquet of greenery with white and pale pink flowers, with the softest shade of blue too, which always compliments the rustic tones of the Riding School beautifully.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom were whisked away for their couple photographs, shot in Calke Abbey’s stunning gardens. Whatever the weather, there are some gorgeous locations within the gardens to grab some pretty shots.

The Orangery is always picture perfect…

For the Wedding Breakfast, the Riding School had been transformed with round tables and gorgeous floral arrangements. The table plan sat proudly on a vintage-looking mirror, and the cake had a stunning backdrop of lace and sequinned ribbons.

After the speeches and the cutting of the cake, the couple were whisked away once more to make the most of more stunning locations around Calke Abbey. Having fun on hay bails and having a moment to take in their beautiful day…

When they arrived back at the Riding School, the evening celebrations were able to get into full swing. With live music, the quirky glitter and tattoo studio, and a photobooth for guests to enjoy. As you can see by these pictures, a fun night was definitely had by all!

Talking about their day, Lindsey and Chris said:

“Thank you so much for your help and support in planning our wedding at Calke Abbey on 1st June. Our day was magical and everything we hoped for! Thank you for all you did for us.”
