Lauren & Jamie | Calke Abbey | Matt Brown Photography
Lauren and Jamie’s wedding at Calke Abbey was truly stunning. A chic and classic celebration which certainly shows in the photographs. Plus, they bought their gorgeous Dalmation along too!
Opting to stay in the cottages on the Calke Abbey estate, Lauren could relax with friends and family on the morning of the wedding. Her Dad led the way to the Riding School on his motorbike… we think Jamie definitely heard them pulling up to the venue!
Bridesmaids and flower girl were dressed instancing teal gowns. Blue hues are often a favourite of our brides and grooms as the colours work so well against the exposed brickwork in the Riding School.
Decorated with hanging lanterns and festoon lights, and lashings of greenery hanging from the windows, this stylish and modern decor worked fabulously alongside the rustic charm of the venue.
After the couple had officially tied the knot, they made their way out onto the courtyard for the infamous confetti photos and to get those all-important group shots with their bridal party and groomsmen. And the dog, of course! Who looked suitably handsome in a bowtie…
Whilst the guests enjoyed mingling, Lauren and Jamie were taken around the Calke Abbey estate to explore and take advantage of the many photo opportunities. The potting shed, the Orangery and the walled gardens are great spots to snap stunning photos, which Matt Brown did a fabulous job of!
Even on an overcast day, Calke Abbey makes a beautiful backdrop, as proven in these stunning black and white photographs.
Wedding Breakfast & Speeches…
After their photographs, the couple made their way back to the Riding School to enjoy the Wedding Breakfast, catered by Black Peppermint food company.
Tables were decorated with sprigs of wild greenery and succulents for place names.
Whilst the wedding breakfast and speeches were underway, the other half of the Riding School was being subtly turned into a dance floor, ready for guests to end their celebrations.
