So, it doesn’t seem so long ago that we dreamt of being the exclusive wedding coordinators for a fine portfolio of venues. Who would have thought back in 2013 that we would be where we are now – where does the time go? Back then (when we only specialised in venue styling, prop hire and floristry) Sally and I had the great pleasure of working with the adorable Dawn and Craig who celebrated their special day at Stancliffe Hall.
I’ll always remember my first real experience of Stancliffe Hall. From the moment we arrived at the grand gates and waited for permission to enter the private estate, we knew that this wouldn’t be a venue we wouldn’t forget in a hurry.
Excitably, we followed the winding driveway down in to the grounds and saw that it opened up to the most breathtaking setting. Proudly positioned within its own peaceful parkland, there magnificently glistening in the summer sun, stood Stancliffe Hall.
Beautifully over looking the rest of the world (ok, only Derbyshire), Stancliffe Hall amazed us instantly! We were completely taken by it’s history, its beautiful chapel, it’s fine collection of art and it’s tasteful decor….you name it, we loved it!
Venue envy kicked in immediately and we were delighted that our couple had found such a perfect venue in which to celebrate their wedding day dreams.
Elegantly complimenting the Whitworth Room, Sally created romantic floral arrangements that were beautifully finished with touches of lace and dusky pink tones.
The Whitworth Room itself acts as a lavish blank canvas for all styles and themed wedding receptions. Dawn and Craig’s approach created a graceful English Rose style theme.
Sally also created the stunning bridal bouquet, but it easily goes without saying that Dawn looked a million dollars with or without flowers.
Four years on (and with many thanks to Coral & Stone Photography) we are ecstatic to share our first encounter of Stancliffe Hall and Dawn & Craig’s joyous day. The delight doesn’t stop there for us; Honeysuckle & Castle are now beyond excited to be bringing back such a superb and special venue to the wedding scene! We genuinely can’t wait to see the hall shine and come alive again with weddings!
Enjoy, Helen x
