We can hardly believe it’s May already, which means that wedding season is officially upon us! As we begin to host new weddings and see happy couples tie the knot, we’ll have lots more Real Wedding content for you to sink your teeth in to. But don’t worry, we still have a couple of weddings from 2017 that we’ve been dying to share with you all. Starting this week with Kara & Chris’s gorgeous wedding at Calke Abbey’s Riding School, captured by Martin Cheung Photography.
The Riding School, Calke Abbey
Kara was dressed in a stunning silhouette lace gown and veil and Chris looked smart in a navy suit. The Riding School was dressed with stunning sunflowers and lashings of bright blue, which worked beautifully against the exposed brick. Sunflowers and bright yellow were a prominent theme in the decor, and in Kara’s bouquet too.
After the ceremony, guests relaxed in the Riding School whilst Kara & Chris were whisked away to have their photos taken. There are many photo opportunities to take advantage of around the Calke Abbey estate…
The combination of Kara’s stunning bright bouquet and the flowers in the Walled Gardens made for beautiful photographs.
Likewise, as the couple approached the house…
From the autumn leaves on the ground to the comical umbrella shot – we love everything about these photos. The pure joy on the couples face is wonderful to see.
As always, the wedding breakfast was deliciously prepared by Black Peppermint, who are the wonderful caterers for Calke Abbey weddings. After the speeches and the cutting of the cake, it was time to dance the night away.
