This no corkage* charge wedding venue is a rustic blank canvas set amongst over 600 acres of Derbyshire parkland where deer and sheep roam free, this 18th Century building is steeped in history.
High set windows create an inviting space, whilst white drapes create more intimate areas for your guests to enjoy. With gorgeous exposed brickwork, antique characteristics and an old rowing boat resting in the large oak beams, The Riding School is without a doubt the perfect backdrop to your big day.

Licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships of up to 240 guests, The Riding School is an idyllic setting to say ‘I Do’.
Whether you’re celebrating with a full day at Calke Abbey or moving on to a reception elsewhere, a dedicated member of the Honeysuckle & Castle team will be on hand throughout the day to help make it a magical and memorable experience.
Invite your loved ones to enjoy a wedding feast prepared by Black Peppermint Food Company. Menu choices range from a formal three-course dinner to a relaxed ‘sharing style’ main course.
Guests can be seated on a number of round tables seating up to 12 people per table, or on longer banquet tables for up to 24 per row.
Whilst your loved ones are enjoying the Wedding Breakfast, the other half of the Riding School will be transformed into the ultimate dance floor for you to dance the night away.
Why not make a weekend of your wedding and take advantage of the beautiful estate cottages? There are five Holiday Cottages privately set within the Calke Abbey estate which sleep from 2-14 guests. This will give you the perfect opportunity to explore the local area, discover the history of Calke Abbey and enjoy a weekend getaway with your nearest and dearest.
