With a new year on the horizon, we are reflecting back on 2017, which has been an incredible year for Honeysuckle & Castle.

Not only have we hosted some gorgeous weddings – meeting lots of lovely couples and wedding suppliers along the way – but we have also introduced a brand new venue to our portfolio. Stancliffe Hall opened exclusively for weddings in March, and since then we have hosted some stunning celebrations, with many booked in for 2018 and beyond!

We have also hosted lots of wedding fayres, which are a fabulous opportunity for couples to come along and meet potential suppliers, as well as get some inspiration for their big day. We have lots more planned for 2018 – you’ll find some dates for your new diary at the end of this post!
But in the mean time, let’s take a look at some highlights from 2017!

1. Stancliffe Hall opening!

Honeysuckle & Castle’s first encounter with Stancliffe Hall was Dawn & Craig’s wedding. Who would’ve thought that a couple of years later we would become the exclusive Wedding Coordinators for this stunning venue?! We held our first event on 5th March, welcoming our guests through the doors to see what our new venue had to offer…

We had lots of help on the day from many friends in the industry, including: Rachel of Wedding Event Design Studio, Kerry of Tineke Floral Designs, Nicola of Rose Press Designs and Rose of The Pink Cake Box. Plus, Coral & Stone Photography who captured the day for us.

2. Weddings at our stunning venues…

Weddings are absolutely a personal thing, and we still find it amazing how one wedding can differ from another, transforming the venue into a completely new space. We have had some truly unique and beautiful weddings in 2017, and as much as we would love to share every single one, we would simply run out of space! You can see all of our Real Weddings here, and read blog posts here.

But here’s a little taster of what we’ve had this year…

3. Open Days and Wedding Fayre’s galore…

Finally, we have to mention our wedding fayres, of which we’ve hosted many over the course of 2017. They’re a great opportunity to take a look around the venue, meet suppliers and get lots of inspiration for your big day.

Every year, we also team up with Save the Date Magazine to host the Pop-up Wedding Village, which will be in its 5th year in 2018 (For tickets, click here – discounted early bird tickets are available until 31st December).

If you fancy coming along to one of our wedding fayres in 2018, here’s a glimpse of what you might find:

Personal Achievements…

We’ve also had so many personal achievements to note this year, which includes the opening of our brand new offices, one of our lovely H&C team members getting engaged, and the addition of our new Social Media manager, Olivia.

Plus, not forgetting the arrival of Helen’s baby Florence, who has been an absolute star in many Honeysuckle & Castle team meetings!

2018 is going to be another great year for Honeysuckle & Castle – we have lots of weddings filling up our schedules, and lots of events that are busy in the planning stages. If you’d like to visit one of our open days, you’ll find some January dates to add to your diary below…

January 14th – Open Day, Calke Abbey

January 15th-20th – Open House Event, Stancliffe Hall

Plus, don’t forget to our infamous Pop-Up Wedding Village event – in collaboration with Save the Date magazine – to your diary, which will be held at Calke Abbey on 15th April.

We look forward to seeing you in 2018! Happy New Year!
